Preserved moss is 100% natural moss that has been treated to maintain its softness, color, and flexibility without the need for water, soil, or sunlight.

Yes. Every piece is made from real Alpine moss. Preservation replaces the plant's moisture so it keeps its natural softness and colour without water or light — nothing about the surface you see and touch is artificial.

With normal indoor conditions (40–60% humidity, no direct sunlight) preserved moss keeps its look for many years. We back every collection piece with a 5-year guarantee.

Very close — but never identical. Every piece is set by hand from natural moss, so tone and texture vary slightly from tuft to tuft. That variation is part of a real-moss piece, not a defect.

Rectangular pieces run from 30 × 20 cm up to 140 × 100 cm, round pieces from ⌀ 40 to ⌀ 80 cm — each design lists its sizes on the product page. Need a different size? Commission a variation in your dimensions, from 590 €.

Black or dark wood, fitted by hand in our workshop. Both are priced the same; you choose the frame on the product page.

Yes — each collection design is limited to 25 pieces. Your piece is numbered at the workbench and ships with its certificate.

None. No watering, no light, no care — just avoid touching it frequently and keep it indoors.

Any indoor room with roughly 40–60% humidity and no direct sunlight. Living rooms, bedrooms, offices and hallways are ideal; bathrooms, saunas and outdoor walls are not.

It is wonderfully soft, and an occasional gentle touch does no harm. Frequent handling wears the moss, so hang it where it is admired more than stroked.

Preserved moss no longer lives or grows — it produces no pollen and needs no soil. If you have a specific sensitivity, write to us and we'll tell you exactly what is in the piece.

Every box includes a small repair kit with spare moss tufts and instructions. For anything bigger, our workshop repairs pieces under the 5-year guarantee.

Yes — every piece ships with mounting hardware and instructions. Hanging works like a regular picture frame.

Each piece is made for you after you order — production takes about 10 business days, then 1–3 days in transit to Austria/Germany or 2–5 days elsewhere in the EU. The product page shows a concrete ships-by date before you buy.

In a double-wall carton with corner protection and a surface spacer, so nothing presses on the moss. The box includes a care card and a small repair kit.

Yes — you have a 14-day right of withdrawal with a full refund. From Austria and Germany we provide a free return label on request. Commissioned and custom-size pieces are made to your specification and therefore excluded by law.

If your preserved moss substantially loses its shape or colour within five years under proper indoor conditions, we repair the piece or deliver a replacement — free of charge. Your statutory warranty rights (2 years) come on top.
