What preserved moss actually is
Preserved (stabilized) moss is real moss, harvested sustainably and then preserved: the plant's own sap is replaced with an ecological solution based on glycerin and mineral salts. The moss keeps its softness, structure and color — but it no longer grows, drinks or needs light. It is nature, paused at its best moment.
How long does it stay beautiful?
Under normal indoor conditions — roughly 40–60% humidity, no direct sunlight, no water — preserved moss keeps its look for many years. We back every collection piece with a 5-year guarantee.
Care: there is none
No watering. No light. No fertilizer. Don't soak it, don't place it in a steamy bathroom or in direct sun, and avoid touching it constantly — that's the entire care guide.
Where our moss comes from
We work with established European suppliers: Iceland moss in over twenty natural dye tones, flat moss carpets, and Alpine moss from the region around our workshop. Every batch is selected by hand before it becomes part of a piece.
Is it sustainable?
Preserved moss needs no water, no energy and no replacement planting for years — unlike living walls with pumps and lighting. The preservation solution is glycerin- and mineral-salt-based, and our frames are wood or aluminum, built to outlive trends. A piece that lasts is the most sustainable piece.
