01 / Material
According to Germany's Federal Environment Agency, vinyl wallpapers and soft PVC can release plasticisers into indoor air.1 Our pieces use real preserved moss and lichen instead of artificial plants, framed in wood.
02 / Origin
Reindeer lichen grows slowly on northern forest floors, in a pale grey-green. We use it preserved and coloured, so it keeps its texture and tone indoors for years, without water, light or electricity.
03 / Calm and sound
The soft, open surface makes a room sound less hard. In studies, rooms with wood and natural elements were linked to lower stress responses and faster recovery.2,3 Laboratory tests of preserved moss by another maker measured sound absorption up to NRC 0.73.4 These studies and tests did not examine our pieces.
