WALDART / Design families
A landscape of small differences.
Explore the familyOne family. One shared world.
Lichen brings irregular patches into close company. No single shape takes command; differences in texture and green turn the surface into a landscape worth exploring at close range.

Every Waldart palette starts outdoors: which greens sit next to each other, where light catches, how much empty space a surface needs. The first two images are nature studies for this design family; the others are photographs from our walks. The panels themselves are made from preserved moss.
An old granite boulder carries a dozen lichens side by side: yellow-green, orange, grey-green, with small moss patches between them. None dominates. Lichen is composed the same way.
Close up, map lichen divides the stone into small territories with thin black lines. Each patch keeps its edge, together they form one surface.
Only the tips catch the light. That is why the brightest green appears sparingly, as an accent rather than a surface.
Moss never stops in a straight line. Colour fields fray into each other, and we let them.
Water makes the spaces between stones visible. Empty space is part of the composition, not what is left over.
